Library adds evening hours on weekdays
The main branch will stay open until nine from Monday to Thursday, starting in November.
The Alder Public Library will keep its main branch open until 9 p.m. four nights a week, after a survey found most visitors could not come before six.
Two part-time staff positions fund the change. The children's room will keep its current hours, and the study rooms can now be booked online for evening slots.
The branch on Willow Street keeps its schedule while the board reviews how the new hours are used over the winter.
